She obtained the degree of Doctor in Novohispanic Studies in 2019 with the thesis: Bullfighting and anti-bullfighting postures in the XVIII in Spain and New Spain. He participated in the active defense of bullfighting by generating and disseminating content with arguments based on science, reason and evidence. Bullfighting is MUCH more than what is seen in the ring of a bullring.
I was born and raised in Mexico City. I studied Law at ITAM and worked as a lawyer in the International Tax Affairs area of the Ministry of Finance. I have been married for 24 years and I have 2 daughters aged 20 and 22. I have lived in San Antonio, Texas for more than 20 years, where I have been in front of various non-profit organizations as well as in the administration area of a service sales company. I have my own bakery business.
From a very young age I was introduced to the world of Bullfighting, my dad was a practical fan as well as a great fan, my entire childhood was spent in bullrings and, above all, in Cambio Bravo. My Plaza has always sudo La Plaza México where I have great memories from the eighties to date, although I have been lucky enough to experience bullfighting in several states of my country. From a very young age I had the opportunity to get to know the world of bullfighting in Spain, where I have been able to attend some of its most emblematic bullrings and I always try to return.
Although I must admit that my weakness will always be the Campo Bravo, growing up visiting and getting to know the brave bull in its natural habitat has marked my way of understanding and living Bullfighting. I have had articles published in Matador Magazine, Bullfighting Notebooks, Círculo de la Ronda, the Madrid Bull Association, among others.
Bullfighting is much more than a taste, it is a passion that is lived daily, it is a way of life. Being able to teach Bullfighting, talk about it from different points of view and create Bullfighting Cultural Networks together with Fernanda Haro, has been an experience of learning, collaboration and study.
